May 9 Cases: Imran Khan Refused To Cooperate With Police

On the other hand, Imran Khan refused to cooperate with the Lahore police in the May 9 cases.

The founder of the PTI, Imran Khan, has refused to cooperate with the police over 12 cases registered in Lahore regarding 9 May. An investigating team of Lahore police reached Adiala Jail Rawalpindi on Monday to interrogate him in the aforementioned cases, to which Imran Khan did not appear before the team.

Imran Khan was insistent that he would only be questioned in the presence of his lawyers, despite a number of messages sent to him.

The probe team had plans to conduct a polygraph test on Imran Khan. But the investigation team left the Adiala Jail and went back to Lahore without any interrogation.

It may be added that Imran Khan had already been on ten-day physical remand in the 12 cases registered at Lahore on May 9. The remand was sanctioned by the Anti-Terrorism Court in Lahore.
