Khalil-ur-Rehman Refused To Work With Saba Qamar

Pakistan’s renowned playwright, director, and poet Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar has refused to work with actress Saba Qamar.

Recently, Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar appeared on a podcast where he clearly stated his decision and refused to work with Saba Qamar.

When asked by the host which actress he would never cast in his dramas, Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar responded, “I will never cast Saba Qamar in any of my projects because the way she dresses is completely against my standards.”

He said that Saba Qamar is undoubtedly a brilliant actress who has worked in one of his dramas in the past. In that drama, Saba Qamar delivered an outstanding performance that was highly praised by fans. However, he added that her choice of clothing goes against their culture and principles.

Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar emphasized that while he respects Saba Qamar’s personal choice in clothing, he has the right to select who he works with based on his own criteria.

He further said that the actors he would love to work with repeatedly include Humayun Saeed and Adnan Siddiqui.

It is worth mentioning that in the past, Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar faced criticism from the entertainment industry for using inappropriate language against Marvi Sirmed during a TV program about the Aurat March. Among his critics was actress Mahira Khan.

After Mahira Khan’s criticism, Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar remarked that he would never forgive her. He said, “If I ever meet Mahira Khan and she greets me, I will respond, but I will never forgive her or cast her in any of my dramas.”
