Kamala Harris To Be Selected As Presidential Candidate

Democratic Party is making all-out efforts to select Kamala Harris as their presidential candidate.

The Democratic Party has been trying to select Kamala Harris as their presidential candidate and issued e-forms to their delegates across the United States. The form inquires which presidential candidate they want to choose for nomination.

Party officials say that the goal of securing 10 percent of all Democratic delegates-about 200 delegates nationally-would make it easier for her to be nominated.

Kamala Harris is from California, but even here, a number of senior Democratic members are not in favor of nominating her.

If 10 percent of the delegates can be secured for Kamala Harris’s presidential nomination, that will somewhat stabilize and give direction to the Democratic Party, which is running helter-skelter at present. That would also lead Kamala Harris into a position to nominate her vice-presidential candidate.

Different lobbies within the party have warmed up to the candidature of Kamala Harris. Some in the party believe that she is a credible candidate because of her experience and political acumen. Others argue that she will help the party to win more women and minority votes.

On the other hand, Kamala Harris’s opponents are not silent either. They say that her past policies and decisions have hurt her popularity, and that the party wants to see a newer face present new policies and vision more effectively.

It is expected that when she becomes the presidential candidate, intra-party differences will reduce. This will take the party towards the election united. Democrats are hopeful that with Kamala Harris at the helm of the affairs, they will not only win the election but shall be able to redress the issues marring the nation.

Biden Announces Withdrawal From Presidential Race
