According to the company, users can now hum and search for over 100 million songs in YouTube Music. Besides humming, users can also search for songs by playing the melody.
How to use the feature
To use the “Hum To Search” feature, open YouTube Music and click on the magnifying glass icon located at the top right corner.
After clicking, you will see an icon resembling a microphone. Next to it, you will see a waveform icon.
Click on this icon, hum or play the tune of the song, and the full-screen results page will show the song’s name and other details.
Google uses artificial intelligence (AI) technology for this feature, which matches the hummed melody with the original recording.
