Siraj-ul-Haq Warns PM Shehbaz Sharif Not to Wait For Deaths

Former Ameer of the Jamaat-e-Islami, Siraj-ul-Haq, warned Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif not to wait for deaths. He said that if any of their workers are harassed, they won’t back down.

Speaking at a sit-in protest in Rawalpindi, Siraj-ul-Haq said, “If our workers are attacked, we can retaliate with even greater force.”

He blamed the losses in institutions on the corrupt elite and questioned the effectiveness of leaders like Asif Ali Zardari in addressing issues like the bandits in the Kacha area.

Siraj-ul-Haq has condemned a government official he saw taking children shopping in a government vehicle, saying if the children weren’t there, he would have dragged him to the protest.

He asked why government officials use official cars after their duty hours?

Siraj-ul-Haq appealed to PM Shehbaz Sharif not to wait for deaths and lambasted him for begging for assistance with countries like Norway, Japan, Malaysia, and even Afghanistan being ahead of Pakistan with stronger currencies.

He pointed out how far the elite class has moved forward as compared to the general public by stating that the Commissioner of Sargodha has a house spread over 104 kanals when the public faces a shortage of funds for daily needs.

The sit-in by the Jamaat-e-Islami in Liaquat Bagh continued with a 10-point charter of demands presented to the government.
